Happiness is the absence of suffering.
Unhappiness, then, is believing a thought that causes suffering.
Why, then, wouldn’t you question it?!
If you are suffering, it’s because you are arguing with reality.
It is innocent – our thoughts seem real. But what if you could suspend your attachment to your thoughts – observe with the kindness of the ideal mother, and the non-judgemental curiosity of a scientist.
I don’t accept reality. I get drunk with it. The world is perfect. When I move from this truth, I can question my thoughts.
Many of our assumptions – about life, the world, ourselves and others – have never been questioned. Asking, is it true, can be mind blowing!
